The term "Seal of Samoa" refers to different emblems for the independent nation of Samoa (the Coat of Arms) and the U.S. territory of American Samoa (the Seal), both featuring rich cultural symbols like the fue (fly switch for wisdom), to'oto'o (staff for authority), and tanoa (kava bowl for service), with the Samoan Coat of Arms adding the Southern Cross and motto "God be the Foundation of Samoa," while American Samoa's seal includes an eagle and the motto "Samoa, Let God Be First," reflecting their distinct identities.
