The paddle or hoe, pronounced ho aee, is an intricate part of Islander culture. The Hawaiian Paddle is a symbol of achievement & endurance. So it is a fixture in many homes. The beautiful paddle in this listing is an extension of that culture. The brightly painted Aloha, Hawaiian for hello, welcomes ohana, friends and family into your home. Along with the common Aloha phrase each pale is adorned with 2 beautiful plumeria flowers. Each paddle is unique with respect to color, curl, & character of the wood. They are chiseled and etched from solid wood and then hand painted. As a handcrafted piece, there will be slight differences in design as well.
